In
May, shad fishing can be so good here that your arms may give
in well before the fish do. When the bite's on, 100-fish days
are not out of the question.
American
River | The annual migration of these silver
bullets takes place in May and June on the American. Not only
can you catch shad all day long here, but you may also tie
into a surprise striper or salmon or two as well.
Yuba
River | May and June are the top months for shad
fishing on the lower Yuba. At the peak of the run, fishing
can be phenomenal for fly and spincaters alike.
