The summer bite is in full swing on Lake Tahoe and we are seeing a nice mixed bag of Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and even some really nice sized (early) kokanee salmon. The weather has been spectacular and looks like it's going to stay that way. It's that time of year on Lake Tahoe...when we see cool mixed bag opportunities. We have been seeing lake trout, rainbows, browns and cutthroat (including all 4 in the same charter trip some days). The fish are on the surface so no need for deep gear and downriggers yet. Our water temps are still in the high 40's so the fish should be up top for awhile! I was going to put the boat in the water on Lake Tahoe last weekend, but Mother Nature had other ideas. Looks like the snow is done, however, and she'll be in the lake this week and ready to start fishing this weekend. Looking forward to getting back on the home waters!
