Located just 45 minutes outside Reno, NV, Pyramid Lake is one of the best trophy trout fisheries in the country. Set in an almost other-worldly setting in the high desert, this amazing natural lake routinely pumps out giant Lahontan Cutthroat Trout over 20 pounds — and on every trip your chances of catching one over 10 pounds are better than just about anywhere. On our guided Pyramid Lake Fishing Trips, you’ve got a heck of a shot at hooking the largest trout in your life!
The largest fish to date on our boat is an amazing 28 pounds...and there are bigger ones out there!
JD is one of just a select handful of guides approved by the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe to run fishing charters on this amazing lake.
To ensure you get the best possible experience, we only offer private charters for up to 4 anglers. (If you do have a larger party, let us know and we can usually work something out).
That gives us the most flexibility on how we fish, which means more action for you!

OUR BOAT
Our 26' River Wild fishing machine sets the standard for fishing comfort! She has a fully enclosed cabin with a heater for those cold days and plenty of seating inside.
Equipped with regular and live sonar, electric trolling motor and 9.9HP Yamaha kicker, the boat is a serious fishing vessel too. Powered by 250 HP Yamaha Vmax, she can scoot when she wants to.
